Danish design bonanza

3daysofdesign has evolved from a warehouse in the industrial free port in Copenhagen to one of the most important and innovative design events in Scandinavia.
Signe Byrdal Terenziani is the director of the event which gathers more than 50 participating companies and their visitors. During the annual event visitors from all around the world gather to experience a new and refreshing look on design.
"At the moment Danish design achieve a lot of international interest and the event 3daysofdesign helps to reinforce the position by bringing the international design world to Copenhagen…in addition it's an opportunity to come behind the facade and get close to the manufacturers", says Signe Byrdal Terenziani.
A long list of design companies and designers invites journalists, buyers and design enthusiasts from all around the world to visit their showrooms. Frama, famous for their solid materials and simple geometry, is one of the companies opening their doors. They recently refurbished a space in the city center, and is officially opening tomorrow morning. This is something of what to expect:
Terenziana explains that Copenhagen is the ideal place to showcase Danish design. Presenting both established brands as well as start-up designers the event gives the visitors a good picture of how varied the Danish design scene is. In addition international brands with a showroom in Copenhagen can take advantage of the the traffic generated by the event, she adds.
By hosting the annual event the people behind 3daysofdesign hope to create synergy and collaboration across the international design and furniture industry, which in many ways already has been a success. The interest for the event has steadily been growing internationally.
"3daysofdesign has become the ideal meeting point to network, to do branding and trade", says Signe Byrdal Terenziani.
