Kasper Gram and Jone Nielsen is a new danish/norwegian design duo based in Copenhagen. They are focusing on the cultural waves of contemporary society. The two met when Jone was working at Acne Studio in Copenhagen and quickly discovered a shared passion for design and clothing.
"We made a deal—I would help Kasper with his wardrobe if he became my personal trainer. Ten kilos lighter, 100 % more stylish, and one year later we found out that we had to work together professionally one way or another," Jone explains.
Kasper and Jone joined forces. With Kasper’s background in graphic design and Jone finishing up his degree in fashion design, they wanted to venture into a more commercial field, a rather unknown area for the both of them.
"We are reminiscing the great beauties of the past while embracing the new allure of today."
The result is Kjøtt og Blod. Kasper and Jone have picked six IT-girls, iconic women related to beauty. Cindy Crawford, Claudia Schiffer, Naomi Campbell, Kendell Jenner, Gigi Hadid and Cara Delevingne are the different names you can wear.
"To be in possession of such scarce beauty is most often found in fairytales, or in this case, on sweaters and t-shirts," Jone tells us.
The name Kjøtt og Blod (meaning meat and blood in Norwegian) came about as a natural metaphor on the relationship between good friends and family, much like the two designers.
