Tom Wood goes denim

Tom Wood has, over its relatively short course of four years, quickly gained favour amongst stylists, fashion enthusiasts and fashion bloggers alike. Now they have expanded from their characteristic jewelry and eyewear designs and are ready to launch two denim collections; Core denim- and BLUE by Tom Wood.
With over 8 years of experience at Levi Strauss, Tom Woods Managing Director has used his competence and and network to develop two lines — each distinct in the sense that they offer styles and fabric from two different parts of the globe. BLUE by Tom Wood introduces, as the press release reads, «eight premium styles made out of the most exclusive White Oak-denim coming from Cone Mills in the US, one of the very first and original suppliers of denim fabric». Inspired by vintage denim, work wear and «a touch of Asia», the collection are made with white selvedge, and the raw and washed versions are made out of natural dyed indigo denim. In addition, each garment comes with a 24k gold plated rivet.
The Core by Tom Wood is a more commercial collection, offering three jeans for women, and three for men: Slim, straight and loose fit. The collection is produced in Italy, made out of Italian high quality Candiani denim.
The two collections launched in Paris in January, and several international high-end stores are already on board. Core denim- and BLUE by Tom Wood are to be found in Norwegian stores the first week of august.
