Dorky line drawings of faces are really hot these days. You have probably seen them in your Instagram or Pinterest board, embodied as large paintings, earrings, tattoos, cushions or random scribbles in notebooks, but have you seen them come to life yet?
With delicate details, Barcelona based artist Diego Cabezas transforms simple drawings into three dimensional sculptures. Throughout the years, afters studying Sculpture at the Pablo Picasso art School, Cabezas' work has evolved from the intricate and voluminous to a more minimal aesthetic, bringing focus to the form. These sculptures are a result of his interest in both materials and anatomy — giving the simplest of form a lot of character and emotions.
