Time Standing Still

For photo artist Dag Alveng, an art project can easily last for over a decade, and can consist of everything from traveling the world photographing gravestones of late chess players, becoming an international competitive race car driver, or host an unofficial world championship in Fisher random chess. Regardless of the span of his work, however, all can be characterised by his hunt for the right atmosphere and the idea of an elevated presence—a true embracement of the moment.

From starting out as one of the first—and most controversial—photo-artists in Norway, to become a leading figure of Norwegian photo art, Dag recently completed «Tid som står stille», a comprehensive retrospective exhibition at Henie Onstage Kunstsenter
