Paris based type design studio, Production Type, recently launched their latest work: Kreuz—a brutal and bulky typeface with undeniable industrial roots; a conveyer of «fun machinery».
Suitably described as being as straightforward as it gets, Kreuz shows a bold and to-the-point type design with an inevitable brutalist feel to it. Despite its hardened expression, however, it certainly displays a broad line of possibilities. As described in a press release; «The visual metaphor of nuts and bolts that is playful in short paragraphs, reveals its full potential when typeset in large sizes».
Kreuz was designed by Emmanuel Besse, with a team consisting of Céline Jobard, Quentin Schmerber and Hugues Gentile.
